Design—Poster for PechaKucha Vol.10 RKE

My third poster design with Silver Seas PR in Roanoke for their ongoing series of Pechakucha Nights. The PKN format limits presentations to 20 slides at 20 seconds a slide and makes for dynamic, energetic presentations from passionate members of the community. The unofficial theme of September's PKN is Heat, so I went with a pepper, of course, 'cause they are hot! The loud colors and other oddities are just me trying to execute the main design direction from the organizer and promoter —“draw attention.” The lips are an element I introduced to this speaker series of events in my first design and I've kept it in every iteration since.
