Design—Poster for PechaKucha Vol.11 RKE

My fourth poster design with Silver Seas PR in Roanoke for their ongoing series of Pechakucha Nights. The PKN format limits presentations to 20 slides at 20 seconds a slide and makes for dynamic, energetic presentations from passionate members of the community. The theme for November's PKN is “Short Days, Long Nights”, so I went with a hint of sun while below the horizon it's all party time. The main design direction from the organizer and promoter is always “draw attention.” The lips are an element I introduced to this speaker series of events in my first design and I've kept them in every iteration since.
