Design—Poster + Social Assets for PechaKucha Vol.9 RKE

My second poster design with Silver Seas PR in Roanoke for their ongoing series of Pechakucha Nights. The PKN format limits presentations to 20 slides at 20 seconds a slide and makes for dynamic, energetic presentations from passionate members of the community. The unofficial theme of May's PKN is Journeying, so I went with a retro-space theme. The loud colors and other oddities are just me trying to execute the main design direction from the organizer and promoter —“draw attention.” Astronauts as a sort of ultimate traveler just seemed like a good motif.
