Tshirt Design—Females are “Strong As Hell,” March 2015

I have binged on “The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” since it dropped on Netflix on Friday and so the theme song has been in my head nonstop! I love Tina Fey's work and she doesn't disappoint with Kimmy. A design concept popped into my head and after some iterations, here's the final one. The v-neck tee itself (women and children's sizes/style only) is love, now at http://teespring.com/females-are-strong-as-hell If you look at the WIP, I played around with an Indiana Mole Women addition, and maybe that's something I'll revisit later, but it wasn't right for the look I was after with this. After a push from a friend, I really challenged myself today to take an idea and not just keep it to myself, but to just sit down and get it out there, and I'm really glad I did. This is the final design, pure typography with font, colors, kerning, and stairstep arrangement inspired by the show, The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt from Tina Fey and Robert Carlock. Copy on the campaign page at Teespring reads:
